My Products Portal

The My Products Portal is USPS's online portal for First-Class Mail and Marketing Mail customers who take part in its discounts and incentives. Mailers use it to submit mailpiece samples and ask questions about the promotions. Mail Owners also register for Mail Growth Incentives in it.

What it is

The portal is a service on the Business Customer Gateway, listed under Mailing Services. It was called the Mailing Promotions Portal before.

The portal keeps a record of every service request a customer makes, so the customer can track past contacts with USPS. It holds all of a mailer's pre-approval requests in one place, in place of separate email threads. Once fully implemented, it also gives access to a team of Mailpiece Design Analysts who approve designs for discounts.

In the mailing promotions, every mailpiece sample goes through the portal for pre-approval. A mailing whose sample lacks written approval gets no discount. In the Mail Growth Incentives, Mail Owners register, claim postage credit and see their credit balance.

A Mail Owner is the business that decides a mailpiece's content and pays its postage. A Mail Service Provider mails on behalf of Mail Owners, and may submit a mailpiece for pre-approval for one of them. A Mail Service Provider cannot register its clients for Mail Growth Incentives through the portal.

How it works

A mailer signs up for the portal through the Business Customer Gateway, and USPS enables each account.

Signing up for the portal.

  1. Log in to the Business Customer Gateway, or sign up for a Gateway account first.
  2. Select Mailing Services.
  3. Find My Products Portal in the list and select Get Access.
  4. Complete the access form and submit it.
  5. Wait for the approval email, which should arrive within 4 days.
  6. Finish enrolling by following the approval email's instructions.

After signing up, the mailer gets each mailpiece pre-approved in the portal, and registers for the promotion through Incentive Programs, another Business Customer Gateway service.

The 2025-2026 Catalog Insights Promotion, from design to mailing.

  1. Design a mailpiece that meets the promotion's requirements.
  2. In the portal, select Submit Mailpiece Pre-approval, complete every field and upload the samples.
  3. USPS reviews the sample and answers within four business days, sometimes asking for revisions.
  4. The decision arrives by email and in the portal.
  5. Register for the promotion through Incentive Programs at least two hours before mailing.
  6. Claim the discount with the promotion's characteristic code when filing the postage statement.

For the Mail Growth Incentives, each Mail Owner's registration is a service request in the portal. The Mail Owner claims earned postage credit through that service request. The credit's balance and use show on the MGI Credit Balance and Postage Statement tabs, under the My Incentives tile.

Guide to the My Products Portal: promotions

This guide is the portal's PostalPro page for the mailing promotions, from USPS's New Solutions team. It gives the sign-up steps and links tutorial videos, such as one on submitting a mailpiece for review. Its job aids each cover one task, such as updating a campaign URL. Its featured guidebooks are for the 2023 promotions.

How to Enroll in the Promotions

This guide walks through enrolling in a promotion, which happens in Incentive Programs on the Business Customer Gateway. A mailer without a USPS business account creates one first. The Integrated Technology Promotion has its own enrollment guide.

  1. Sign in to the Business Customer Gateway at https://gateway.usps.com.
  2. Select Mailing Services from the left menu.
  3. Open Incentive Programs with Go to Service, or request it with Get Access.
  4. On the Welcome tab, find the promotion.
  5. Complete each of the three enrollment tasks by selecting I Agree.
  6. Review the Certification Agreement, a legal agreement, and select I Agree.
  7. An email confirms the enrollment, and the status changes to ENROLLED.

User Guides

Integrated Technology Enrollment Guide

The Integrated Technology Promotion is for mailpieces that use a technology such as augmented reality or near field communication. Its 2025 promotion period is six consecutive months the mailer chooses within 2025. Its enrollment guide covers enrolling groups of CRIDs, the numbers that identify a business at a location.

Before enrolling, the mailer confirms access to the Business Customer Gateway and the portal. The mailer also gets the mailpiece pre-approved in the portal and lists the CRIDs to enroll.

  1. Log in to the Business Customer Gateway and select Mailing Services.
  2. Open Incentive Programs with Go to Service.
  3. Select the 2025 Integrated Technology Promotion, then Begin Enrollment.
  4. Complete Additional Contact Information and save it.
  5. Under Locations, name a CRID group and add it.
  6. Download the template, list the CRIDs in Column A, and save it.
  7. Upload the CRID file to its CRID group.
  8. Under Payment Accounts, confirm the permit information and select I Agree.
  9. Review the Certification and select I Agree.
  10. An email confirms the enrollment, and the status reads ENROLLED.

A CRID group can hold several CRIDs, and a mailer can create several groups. A CRID can belong to one group only. The CRID file lists one CRID a row in Column A, with no headers.

Each CRID group's promotion period runs from the start date the mailer picks, and the end date follows from it. With no start date, the period starts on the first mailing that claims the promotion. The mailer can change or remove the start date until the period begins.

2025 Informed Delivery MPP Integration

Informed Delivery lets business mailers run a marketing campaign that reaches their audience by email. The Informed Delivery Add-On raises a promotion's discount for a mailpiece paired with such a campaign. This product is a video tutorial on how Informed Delivery and the portal work together.

For the Add-On, the mailer submits the pre-approval in the portal with a Ride-Along image, a URL and a Representative image. The Ride-Along image is a clickable color image that leads to the target URL. The Representative image is a color image of the mailpiece, shown in place of its grayscale scan. It is required for flats and optional for letters. The mailer then submits the campaign itself to Informed Delivery.

A batch of Add-On requests takes images that meet these limits.

eDoc Submitter Permit Enrollment Guide

An eDoc submitter is the mailer who submits a mailing's electronic documentation. For the 2025 Informed Delivery Add-On, USPS offers eDoc submitters a 0.5% incentive on each postage statement processed successfully. A statement counts as processed successfully when the Add-On discount applies at the time of mailing. The incentive covers only pieces that received that discount.

To take part, the eDoc submitter must:

  • have a permit linked to an Enterprise Payment System account, with EPS Admin or EPS Payment Manager privilege;
  • choose a permit linked to its own CRID;
  • register that permit as an Informed Delivery Incentive Permit, under Manage Permit on the Business Customer Gateway.

This guide shows, with Business Customer Gateway screens, how to register the permit.

Multiple Pre-Approval Requests (Batch Upload)

A batch upload sends many pre-approval requests at once, from one Excel template that lists every mailpiece. PostalPro's page for it holds the templates and the job aids that explain them. A batch upload file can be up to 1.5GB.

Submitting a batch of Informed Delivery Add-On or Integrated Technology requests.

  1. Fill in the promotion's Excel template, one row a mailpiece.
  2. In the portal, open the Submit Promotion/Incentive tab.
  3. Choose the current year's promotion from the Promotion/Incentive Type menu.
  4. Select Multiple Preapproval Requests.
  5. Review the guidelines for multiple requests and check the box to confirm.
  6. Upload the completed template as an Excel file.
  7. Upload the files each row names, then submit.
  8. USPS emails when the batch is processed, and the requests show on the My Promotions/Incentives Requests page.

The two templates have different columns.

Guide to the My Products Portal: incentives

This guide is the portal's PostalPro page for USPS's incentives program for First-Class Mail and Marketing Mail customers. It calls them the Mailing Services Incentives. USPS's Mailing Services team designs these incentives to grow First-Class Mail and Marketing Mail. The guide gives the same sign-up steps, with the approval email due within 4 days.

Guide to the My Products Portal (Formerly Mailing Promotions Portal)

This PostalPro page holds the portal's customer guide to sharing a Mail Growth Incentives service request and changing its owner.

  1. Log in to the portal and select the Mail Growth Incentives tile.
  2. Select the My Incentives tile.
  3. On the My Incentives Request page, select a service request.
  4. On the service request, select Manage Access.
  5. Choose Add New, Remove Share or Change Owner.

Add New shares the request with a contact who has portal access. Read/Edit lets that contact view the request, agree, request assistance and claim credits. Read lets the contact only view it. Remove Share takes one or more contacts off the visibility list.

Change Owner hands the request to another contact, on the same account or a different one. For a contact on a different account, the owner gives a reason, and the Program Office reviews and approves the change. That request appears on the Incentive Disputes list, under the Related tab.

Rules

Participants must upload all mailpiece samples to the My Products Portal for pre-approval.

A mailer must send every mailpiece sample to USPS through the portal for pre-approval.

If the prototype is not approved in writing prior to entry date, the mailing will not qualify for the discount.

A mailing does not qualify for the discount unless USPS approved its prototype in writing before the entry date.

You must upload all iterations of your mailpieces during the promotion period to the My Products Portal.

Every version of a mailpiece mailed during the promotion period must go to the portal, not only the first.

Each year, a Registration Period is announced. During this time, Mail Owners must register for one or both Mail Growth Incentives via the My Products Portal (MPP), accessible through the Business Customer Gateway (BCG).

Mail Owners must register for the Mail Growth Incentives in the portal, during the registration period USPS announces each year.

Templates must be completed and uploaded as an Excel file for the service request to be processed successfully.

A batch template must be completed and uploaded as an Excel file, or its service requests are not processed.

DO NOT include the file extension at the end of the File Name (.jpg, .pdf, etc.) within the excel sheet

The file names in a batch template must not end in an extension such as .jpg or .pdf.

the Campaign Shape Type must be the same for all Mailpiece Preapproval requests.

Every request in one Informed Delivery Add-On batch must use the same Campaign Shape Type.

This is required if the selected contact is on a different account. The Program Office must review and approve the request.

When a service request's new owner is on a different account, the Program Office must review and approve the change.

What goes wrong

A batch that ignores the instructions may fail to upload, and may cost the mailer the promotion discount. A final mailpiece that differs from the approved sample is subject to losing the discount. An approval in a prior year's promotion does not guarantee approval in the current year's.

A contact with Read access who tries to claim credits sees an error: You must have Edit or Ownership of the SR to use this function.

About 80% of postage statement errors in the Informed Delivery Add-On have one of two causes.

  • The Informed Delivery campaign is not in Submitted or Active status when the postage statement goes in by eDoc.
  • The postage statement's mailing dates fall outside the campaign's timeline.

USPS reserves the right to change the sample process as the portal evolves.
